After you’ve booked
What happens next
Congratulations, and thank you for booking me, it’s an honour! The good news is that from here until your wedding there’s very little for you to do. This page walks you through the run-up to the day, the day itself, and what happens once it’s all over, so you always know where things stand.

Before the day
In the run-up
Once you’ve had your final planning meeting with your venue, usually around three months before the wedding, there are two things I’ll need from you.
Your timeline for the day
A simple running order with timings. Prep, ceremony, drinks, speeches, first dance, and anything else you’ve got planned. This keeps me in the right place at the right moment without you having to think about it.
Your group shot list
Up to ten formal group shots, which I’ll take during the drinks reception. These are the posed, everyone looking at the camera photos. You only need to list these. Everything else, the candids and the natural moments in between, is already how I shoot, so there’s no need to write those down.
Before the day
Upgrades and final payment
This is also the moment to let me know if you’d like to upgrade your package. If there’s anything you’d like to add, just say the word and I’ll sort it.
Around the same time I’ll send you a link to make your final payment. It’s due no later than thirty days before the wedding. Some couples prefer to settle sooner so it’s one less thing on the list, so if you’d rather get it done early, just let me know.
On the day
Timings
I usually start around 10:30am and finish roughly thirty minutes after your first dance. That covers the full story of the day, from the quiet of the morning through to the dancefloor.
Good to know
A few things people often ask
- Dietary requirements
- I don’t have any, so there’s nothing to arrange for me. A hot meal during the wedding breakfast is always welcome, but anything is fine, thank you very much!
- Insurance
- I carry full public liability insurance held at £10m. Some venues ask to see it, and you can view my certificate here.
- Drone licence
- I hold a current CAA drone licence, so aerial work is fully covered wherever your venue allows it. My licence is here.
After the wedding
Getting everything back
Your finished photographs are delivered within twelve to sixteen weeks of the wedding, along with your film if you’ve booked Fusion. If that’s ever going to be shorter or longer, I’ll let you know in advance, so you’re never left wondering.
Any questions before the day, just message me. During wedding season my studio manager Katrina is also on hand to help. You can reach us any time at studio@garynunn.co.uk .
